Making events accessible.
By putting thoughtful measures in place, and clearly communicating them, we ensure that everyone feels included and welcome at our events.
Our accessible events playbook.
Just like safety and security, we treat accessibility as a non-negotiable foundation of our events. That's why we created our Accessible Events Playbook, which we put in the hands of our passionate event teams, alongside specialist accessible events training, to help ensure Hyve events are inclusive and welcoming to all.
Commitment to communicating.
We're working hard to make sure that all our websites are sharing information about the accessibility features at our events, so that people can make informed decisions about whether they are right for them. These will usually be found by adding '/accessibility' after the event URL.
Physical access.
Ensuring that our venues are accessible to all is at the heart of our event planning. We meticulously plan out step-free access, spacious interiors, and accessible restrooms. Additionally, we provide clear signage and assistance points to guide guests comfortably through our events to ensure everyone can participate fully.
Content for all.
We try our best to ensure that the content at our events can be enjoyed by all. The measures we take vary event to event, but often include transcripts, live captioning, hearing loops, accessible seating areas and sign language interpreters. Please consult the event website or team to find out more.
Not all disabilities are seen.
We also acknowledge that there are many who manage invisible disabilities. We have recently trialled wellness and calm zones at a number of events, and we pay attentiontion to ensure menus cater for those with intolerances and allergies. If you have any concerns, please reach out to the specific event team who will be more than happy to help you and accomodate any specific needs.
