Remembering Max Oliver

It’s with deepest sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of Max Oliver, a driving force behind Bett.

We are heartbroken to have lost such a special colleague. Max was truly one of a kind, and one of Hyve’s shining talents. The mark that Max has made on our Bett series of events is immeasurable and was fuelled by his genuine care for his customers, and his drive to improve education around the world. His belief, passion, ambition and talent as Head of Growth played a pivotal role in shaping Bett into the force for good it is today.

Max truly and deeply cared for his customers, and we are committed to continuing that legacy and advancing all of the initiatives he was passionate about.

We remember Max not only for his professional achievements but also for his warmth, great humour, and genuine interest in others. A keen rugby player in his spare time, Max was a leader both on the pitch and at Bett. His positive energy and innovative spirit inspired all who had the privilege of working with him. He dedicated himself to seeing others fulfil their full potential. Work or rugby, everyone wanted to be on Max’s team.

He was warm, generous with his time and so much fun to be around. He is already so missed.

Mark Words can hardly put into context our depth of sadness at the news that Max passed away so suddenly. He was ambitious, passionate about doing great work, intelligent, friendly, a team player and an all-round positive energy. I, along with the rest of the Hyve team, have been devastated by the news, however he leaves an enormous legacy here and we feel lucky to have shared some memorable moments with him. My deepest condolences go out to Max’s fiancée, family, friends, and all who knew him.

Our thoughts are with Max's fiancée, family, friends, and colleagues during this unbelievably difficult time.

In Max's memory, a Just Giving page has been set up by his close friends at his beloved Bishop’s Stortford Rugby Club to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young.
