Modern slavery statement

This is the statement of Hyve Group Limited (“Hyve”). It covers Hyve and its subsidiaries and affiliated entities, including Hyve UK Events Limited and Hyve International Events Limited (with all such companies being the “Hyve Group”).
WE ARE HYVE
We create unmissable events where people from all corners of the globe learn, trade and network, sharing extraordinary moments, advancing business and helping to shape industries. Each year we have events taking place, across multiple industry sectors from ecommerce to education, healthcare, marketing innovation, logistics and engineering to fintech.
We are committed to:
- ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business;
- acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships; and
- implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern day slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our business or in our supply chains.
BACKGROUND
Under section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, all incorporated businesses with over £36m in annual turnover and conducting business in the UK are required to publish а slavery and human trafficking statement. In providing this statement we wish to clearly set out Hyve’s commitment to upholding and implementing high standards of governance and ethical behaviour across its businesses.
We recognise that slavery, forced or compulsory labour and the trafficking of persons for any purpose ("Modern Slavery") is а global issue and we are taking steps to ensure that this is eliminated from our supply chains. Details of the steps already taken, and those to be taken are set out below in this statement.
RISK PROFILE
Each year we have circa. 30 events taking place in 13 countries. We currently employ circa. 770 people in 16 different countries. We are aware that а number of countries in which we operate have a higher Modern Slavery risk than others and recognise that certain parts of our business and supply chain carry a higher risk of modern slavery, especially where:
- Event-build environments involve temporary labour, subcontractors or labour in jurisdictions with a higher prevalence of exploited labour;
- Services are provided in countries with weaker labour protections or where migrant/temporary labour is common.
As a result of this, we have taken a number of steps to address our safeguarding responsibilities and create a clear framework across the business to address Modern Slavery. This includes:
- Supplier assessment and contractual requirements: We routinely require key suppliers to confirm they do not use forced labour, that they pay lawful wages, that workers engage voluntarily and are able to leave their employment.
- On-site assessments: For selected high-risk events (especially build-up and break-down phases) our operational teams attend and engage with local contractors and labour providers to observe practices, review documentation and challenge any concerns.
- Training and Awareness: We provide interactive, online training modules to all of our employees on modern slavery and associated risks
- Whistleblowing: We provide an online portal which allows for the reporting of any concerns relating to modern slavery, anonymously if elected.
- Monitoring and review: We monitor the effectiveness of our actions and refine our approach as needed.
OUR FRAMEWORK
Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy
The Group-wide Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy demonstrates a global commitment to address Modern Slavery. The policy gives workers, contractors and other business partners guidance on identifying and reporting Modern Slavery and clearly states the measures in place to tackle Modern Slavery in business and supply chains. The Policy is reviewed and updated as required to bring it into line with the latest legislation, best practice and industry standards.
Code of Conduct
The Group’s Global Code of Conduct defines expected behaviours of our employees and third-party business parties, and expressly includes a section dedicated to Modern Slavery. This Code acts as an umbrella to other key policies central to the Group’s values and operations, namely: whistleblowing, bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, competitive behaviour, bullying and harassment in the workplace, discrimination, health and safety, data protection, share dealing and sanctions.
Whistleblowing
Hyve Group’s Whistleblowing Policy sets out how concerns can be raised via the Group’s whistleblowing process and systems.
Hyve remains committed to reviewing and investigating any reports made pursuant to the Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy or under its whistleblowing reporting processes.
NEXT STEPS
In previous years, Hyve Group has conducted on site visits and assessments in those geographic areas identified as high-risk, with assessments focussing on the ‘build-up’ and ‘break down’ phases of the events process. Hyve Group has also conducted audits with the proposed outputs being proposed action plans for each event visited.
Regarding next steps, Hyve Group intends to carry out the following updated on-site visits and assessments in 2026:
- United Arab Emirates – with the launch of Shoptalk Luxe, along with established events like Breakbulk Middle East and 121 Dubai operating out of Dubai, Hyve Group will conduct an updated review and assessment in this territory during at least one of its 2026 Dubai-located events;
- Malaysia – as part of the recent re-launch of Bett Asia, Hyve Group will also conduct a review and assessment for modern slavery concerns as part of the 2026 iteration of this event.
We will also be updating our Modern Slavery training modules, which will be rolled out for all staff, and specifically for employees in procurement and operations. We will conduct a review of our Supplier Code of Conduct and how this is used across Hyve Group, to ensure our expectations on modern slavery, labour rights, ESG and governance are appropriately communicated to all of our suppliers. We will also include additional requirements focussing on Modern Slavery compliance in our exhibitor guidelines.
This statement has been approved by the Board of Hyve and applies to all entities within Hyve Group that meet the requirements of section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. The Board will review and update this statement annually.
Signed,
Mark Shashoua
