Since joining Hyve as a Sales Development Representative, Gabby has quickly progressed through account management into her current role as Key Account Director, now working with some of the largest clients in our portfolio.
In this Hyve Journeys feature, Gabby shares the experiences that shaped her journey — from taking a leap of faith into a new career to building confidence and stepping into new opportunities.
Can you tell us about your journey at Hyve so far — how did it begin, and what’s brought you to where you are today?
I started at Hyve as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) and have since grown into a Key Account Director. In my initial role as an SDR, I focused on building the foundation by creating opportunities and driving revenue for the wider sales team. From there, I transitioned into an account management role, where I was responsible for overseeing and growing my own client relationships. Now, as a Key Account Director, I work closely with some of the largest clients in our portfolio, helping to drive long-term value and strategic partnerships.
A huge part of that journey has been my team and the leadership around me, who consistently pushed me to grow. It’s easy to be great when you’re surrounded by greatness. They set a high bar, and that is what has motivated me to keep evolving.

What’s been your proudest achievement or most memorable moment at Hyve?
Getting promoted to Key Account Director has been one of my proudest moments. When I joined Hyve, I took a leap of faith in changing careers, so to grow from the most junior sales role to one of the most senior has been incredibly rewarding. It’s also been really humbling, the level of trust the business has placed in me, especially at this stage in my career, to manage some of our biggest clients, means a lot. It’s a reflection of how much Hyve invests in its people and supports their growth.

What advice would you give someone looking to grow within the company?
Keep an open mind and always be asking questions. Build strong relationships across internal teams because they are the people who can help shape your growth.
Looking back, what’s something you’ve learned about yourself through your career journey?
I definitely learned that it’s easy to experience imposter syndrome at times, but growth comes from pushing past it and putting yourself out there. Over time, I’ve built confidence in trusting my instincts and opinions and not being afraid to speak up.

How were you supported during your promotion/growth by Hyve?
I wouldn’t be here without my team and the support of leadership. I was given opportunities to take on more responsibility before formally stepping into the role, and trusted to represent the business in important settings, like meeting clients in person and attending competitor events, which really helped me grow and build confidence.
If you had to sum up your Hyve career journey in one word, what would it be?
Empowering.
