What would you say is your number one leadership quality?

Listening. I value other people’s opinions and views. There is so much we can learn from each other - we may not always agree, but it is important to take the time to listen to people and make sure they are heard. As a resolver (confirmed in my strengths profile!) it took me time to learn that when listening, you don’t always need to respond, resolve or be a solutionist, just listening is very powerful and empowering.

Whose job do you wish you had?

UK Prime Minister? I mean everyone else has had a go! On a serious note, there is no one job I wish I had, but I do look at other people's jobs and think what I would look like in that role and would I be successful. I do this across our leadership, but also roles I’ve not trained in such a vets, physios, and plumbers. I’m inspired by others expertise and specialities and the opportunity that we can learn and change direction if we wish to.

 How do you motivate others?

Positivity, optimism, and good energy. I naturally look for the opportunity and recognise the good stuff. I mentally note down the things each day that made me feel good, and let the annoying stuff go.

What is the one question you always ask someone in an interview?

"What is the coolest thing you have learned on your own that has helped you better perform your job?"

Where do you find inspiration?

In others. Its sounds cliché but we do all have a story and have all overcome things, and these stories for me are the most interesting and compelling. We can learn so much from each other and achieve more together.
