The story of Hyve.
Once upon a time, in 1991, three family members sat around a kitchen table in West London and devised a plan. This plan was to start a company which would help to connect businesses in emerging, formerly-Soviet countries, with those in advanced economies, to do business. Then called ITE Group, the concept was met with enormous popularity and the company began its pioneering journey. More than thirty years later, facilitating transformational business connections remains at the heart of what we do.

A pioneering journey begins
Three members of the entrepreneurial Shashoua family, Roger, Roddy and Mark, identify an opportunity to provide global companies with a chance to explore the early potential in newly emerging markets following the collapse of the Soviet Union. They start ITE Group as an organiser of global trade exhibitions and conferences. Its first event, the 1st International Prague Book Fair and Writers’ Festival, is well received and supported by President Havel of the Czech Republic.
