Elizabeth Deeming, Divisional Director, Global Brands
Elizabeth Deeming is the Divisional Director for the Global Brands Division.  Elizabeth has been leading global B2B information and services companies for nearly twenty years.  She served as COO of Stylus Media Group, a private equity-backed information services company which sells market research and data products to consumer companies.  She joined Hyve Group plc in early 2017 as the Divisional Director of Global Brands.   Earlier in her career, she worked at News Corp, at Deutsche Bank in the TMT practice, and at a management consulting firm.   She has a B.A. from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard.   She has joint US-UK citizenship and has four children.

“Russia is home to some of our most iconic events, earning us the reputation of the leading trade event provider in the region. Throughout 2018, we hosted 19 exhibitions in Russia, the vast majority of which are the leading events in their industries. These include MosBuild, MITT, WorldFood Moscow, TransRussia, Mining World Russia and YugAgro.

Many of our Russian events take place at Crocus Expo, one of the largest and most modern exhibition centres in the world.

Moscow is also home to over 300 colleagues, making it the second-largest office in our network.”

Dmitry Zavgorodniy, General Director, Russia
Dmitry Zavgorodniy is the Regional Director and the Board Member at Hyve Group Russia.  He joined in November 2017.  Dmitry has a track record of top management roles in food-related businesses, such as Tata Global Beverages Eastern Europe, McCain LLC, Mars LLC. At different times between 2012 to 2017 he was the Board Member at Black Earth Farming Ltd, Alma Holding Ltd, and United Meat Group. Dmitry has the master’s degree in International Relations (University of Oriental Studies, Paris, France), as well as Economic and Political Problems of Real Estate Development (Sorbonne University, Paris, France).

Asia

“Our work in Asia spans India, China, Hong Kong and Indonesia and here, we operate a mixture of wholly owned and joint venture events.

In India we have a wholly owned and fast-growing business in Delhi, called Hyve. In Mumbai our joint venture company, ABEC, has a portfolio of market-leading events including the flagship Acetech series, regarded as India’s premier portfolio of events for the building and interiors industry. In China, we have a wholly owned and very successful sales office in Beijing that supports Hyve’s broader international portfolio. Our businesses in Shanghai include a portfolio of wholly owned and joint venture events, our joint venture in Hong Kong manages the world leading Chinacoat event and our joint venture in Jakarta runs Indonesia’s leading construction event. We also have small offices in Chennai and Bangalore.”
 

Gordon Payne, Regional Director, Asia
Gordon Payne is responsible for all operations in Asia and has been with Hyve since February 2017. He has 20+ years of senior leadership experience in major business media companies including UBM (now Informa Markets) where he led their highly successfully business in Amsterdam for eight years. Prior to Hyve, Gordon worked with Mark Shashoua on the acclaimed transformation of emap connect into i2i Events Group where he focused on creating the critical international dimension to the business that drove much of i2i’s growth. Gordon has worked extensively in China, India, Latin America, Middle East, USA and Europe and currently lives in Hong Kong.

“Our UK division expanded significantly in 2018 following the acquisition of five market-leading UK events. We are proud to operate what are considered to be the market-leading exhibitions in the fashion, giftware and garden retail sectors in the UK. Pure London, the UK's leading fashion trade show, is held twice annually at Kensington Olympia and is considered the must-attend event for the industry. Spring Fair, which is Hyve Group’s number one show by revenue, is also the UK’s largest home and gift marketplace.

We have a vibrant and ambitious team of over 110 people dedicated to working on our products, based at our headquarters in Paddington.”

Julie Driscoll, Regional Director, UK
Julie Driscoll was appointed as UK Regional Director in March 2019.  Julie brings with her 15 years of experience leading businesses predominantly within the Retail space at Ascential and Emap where she delivered significant UK and international growth across various media including digital, sponsorship, awards, conferences, summits, publishing and large scale exhibitions. Most recently Julie lead the transformation of Pure London whilst completing an MBA from Imperial College Business School where she was awarded the prestigious scholarship for ‘most inspiring business leader’.  Julie is passionate about UK retail and sits on various industry boards and advisory committees such as the AEO, the NEC, the Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry, the Giftware Association and is a judge for the prestigious UK Drapers awards.

Central Asia

“In 2018, Hyve Group’s Central Asia division operated a total of 51 events across Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. We cover nine industries with a particular expertise in build & interiors, food & beverage, energy and travel & tourism. We have offices in Almaty, Baku and Tashkent, and employ 118 people in the region.”

Yuri Borodikhin, Regional Director, Central Asia

Yuri Borodikhin serves as the Regional Director of Central Asia.  He joined Hyve, then-ITE Central Asia in 1998 as the Event Director for KazBuild. After launching several successful Building and Construction events in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was promoted to the Executive Director role in 2003. In 2012 relocated to London HQ as the General Director for Kazakhstan. He was promoted to Regional Director for Central Asia in 2018. He started from just 5 events annually 20 years ago and 7 colleagues to managing 50+ events and over 120 people.

“Our Eastern and Southern Europe division is represented by our offices in Turkey and Ukraine, and operated by our fantastic team of over 160 colleagues.

We cover industries such as build & interiors, food & packaging, and travel & tourism. Some of our largest shows in the division include TurkeyBuild Istanbul, the region's largest building, construction materials and technologies exhibition and AquaTherm Kyiv, the largest and best-known trade exhibition in Ukraine for building services.”

Kemal Ulgen, Regional Director Eastern and Southern Europe

Kemal Ulgen is the Regional Director of Turkey & Ukraine for Hyve Group.  Born in Ankara in 1972, Kemal Ülgen graduated from the Middle East Technical University, Department of Business Administration, and then started his career in 1997 at Procter&Gamble. Mr. Ülgen, who assumed various roles in Sales and Marketing Department, joined BAT as a Commercial Marketing Business Development Manager as of November 2001. After working as the Commercial Marketing Manager of Imperial Tobacco in 2007, Mr. Ülgen continued his career again at Imperial Tobacco as a Country Manager responsible for the UK, the UAE, Oman, and Qatar. After Imperial Tobacco Kemal Ülgen became General Manager of Herbalife Turkey.  In 2018 Kemal joined Hyve Group. Mr. Ülgen is married and has two children.
